What happened
A Russian company from Vladivostok obtained a judgment of the Arbitrazh Court of the Primorsky Territory ordering a Chinese company to pay ₽20.2M in debt under a sale and purchase agreement. On December 18, 2018, the Chifeng Intermediate People’s Court recognized and enforced the Russian judgment under the 1993 Treaty on Legal Assistance between Russia and the PRC, rejecting the respondent’s argument that it had not been properly notified.
