Enforcement
The D.D.C. confirmed the award by default judgment on June 14, 2022 (No. 1:20-cv-01795, Judge Amy Berman Jackson) and entered an amended judgment on April 30, 2025. On November 25, 2025 the court authorized Gebre to pursue attachment and execution under 28 U.S.C. § 1610(c).
Recovered to date
None reported. The November 2025 opinion records that Kyrgyzstan did not respond to a demand for payment by July 18, 2025.
Notes
Damages are $15M. The entry passes the $20M threshold only with costs and interest. Stans Energy’s first award (MCCI, 2014, $117.8M) was set aside in Russia and is listed under excluded.
