Challenges

No challenge to the award reported. In the English enforcement case the UK Supreme Court ruled on June 25, 2021 ([2021] UKSC 22) on how the enforcement order had to be served on Libya.

Enforcement

English enforcement order (2018). General Dynamics obtained a final charging order over a London property linked to Muammar Gaddafi’s family (April 2024) and sought its sale. The Court of Appeal upheld the charge (February 2025). Germany’s Federal Court of Justice upheld enforcement in Germany (September 2026).
